About Sally G. Ingalls, RYT  Registered Yoga Teacher, Southwest Florida

Sally G. Ingalls, a native of Ft. Myers, Florida has had an active personal Yoga practice since her early teens. Her personal love of Yoga has brought her to approaching yoga in a way of appreciating and finding much gratitude for the anatomy of the human body; especially as we age. Sally's personal philosophy is that, "Yoga is a way to exercise the  mind and body regardless of age or physical abilities."

In July 2007, Sally graduated from the Florida Yoga Institute, in Raja-Hatha Yoga at the 300 hour level. She believes strongly in the Western Wellness approach, and the Eastern Philosophy of Yoga, Meditation and Breathing Techniques; to approach personal health and wellness with the body as a whole and not the individual body part.

Sally graduated from Duke Integrated Medicine in N.C. from the six month program and became certified as an Older Adult and Senior Yoga Therapist, in October 2008; her thesis focused on Yoga and Type II Diabetes.  In February of 2008 she became a Laughter Yoga Leader.  Sally then went on to became a Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, trained by the creator, Sadie Nardini in 2010. Later that year, Sally returned to Duke Integrated Medicine in N.C. to become certified in Yoga of Awareness for Cancer Professional Training.

Sally has studied under some of the most well known instructors in the yoga industry, such as Bryan Kest for Hot Power Yoga, Shiva Rea, known for her flowing Vinyasa, Dr. Judith Hanson Lasater, one of the most brilliant Yoga Therapist, Amy Weintraub, Life force Yoga (Yoga for Anxiety & Depression), Bo Forbes Yoga and the Lymph nodes system, Cyndi Lee with Om Yoga Studios, meditation and breathing techniques , Dr. Carrie Demurs from the Himalayan Institute, teaching the sister Science of Yoga, known as Ayurveda, Bobby Clennell a B.K.S. Iyengar instructor focusing on Women's health and many more.

Sally teaches classes at Around the Clock Fitness in Cape Coral, FL, Gold's Gym, Cape Coral, FL, Anytime Fitness, Cape Coral, FL, Corp. Awakenings, in which she instructs local Lee County teachers after school, as well as  volunteering for Hope Hospice HealthCare Services for Novembers Hospice Month, instructing Caregivers. Sally also offer private instruction.

Sally instructs her classes with humor and to give each student the renewal and imagination to let go just for the little time they are giving themselves. Whether an experienced student or a novice, working with an injury or recovery, illness or disease, she likes to create an atmosphere of trust that the yoga postures greet them so each student is left feeling as though they met the yoga postures on their bodies terms and range of motion. Keeping in mind, that Yoga is a (CAM) Complimentary Alternative Medicine of stress relief in the Body, Mind & Soul industry, so it is a journey never ending. With this philosophy the students have the faith that their yoga practice will be a mainstay in their life, and a place of peace just for them. If their practice slows or stops, yoga is always there with a big, warm welcoming hug; and laughter.
